Today is Lammas, a day for celebrating the first grain crops of the year!

Because of this, folks have been honouring

the goddesses Ceres or Pomona.

Ceres - the goddess of grain crops. The word cereal derives from Ceres.

I made a whole grain cinnamon bread for Ceres.

 She is Pomona, the goddess of fruits and fruit trees.

 For her, I decorated a green apple with fig leaf & ivy.

A very important day for Carbon-faves.

 Must bake a wheat shaped loaf! ???
