more sugar, more sales

Apparently Japanese foods have become far sweeter.
A marketer working for a sausage company told me that
'I don't want to eat such a sweet sausage but you know,
more sugar, more sales.
The baby boomers and their kids prefer the sweeter taste'.
True.
I stopped buying processed Japanese foods several years ago.
Not only kids but adults love this snack.
10yen (sweet soy-source taste, $0.12, 15cm long corn snack).
I used to buy it sometimes.
Now I am wondering how can kids get used to this taste?
