Haneda International Airport opens today.
It is very closed to Central Tokyo. Good for both us and foreign travellers!
(13 min to Shinagawa, 20 min to Ginza by Keikyu train)

Currently Japan promotes tourism to survive this economic melt-down.
Believe it or not, this country plans to play Santa Clause for some.
The government will pay travel allowances to about 100 native English,
Chinese and Korean speakers to visit key cities and come up with ideas
on how to make it easier for travelers to use public transport,
stay at local hotels and eat at local restaurants,
said an official at the Japan Tourism Agency.  - Reuters

As far as I know, Chinese come to Tokyo for shopping.
Especially for foods, electric products and famous brand goods.
I was so surprised to see a young Chinese traveller bought
24 cans of powder milk at a local super market.
(around 60kg in total.)  They are big customers.
First of all they need discount stores plus courier services.

Koreans? Clothes? Cosmetics? but not so much.
English speaking travellers?
They are mostly at temples or shrines OR in Akiba/ Shibuya.
