6 June, Monday - Moon day, moon in Leo,
the 5th day of the 5th lunar month.

Have you seen a Kids Mikoshi (portable shrine) Parade before?
Guess not...

Here is a truly unique attraction that might grab your mind.
I am happy to show you our Kids Mikoshi Parade today.
Hope you enjoy this post!!

↑ First, check out the marching band instruments here.
This fife (flute) above is also a remarkable one,
called as Shinobue (bamboo fife).

↓ And another bamboo item is ...
the beautiful drum sticks made of real bamboo!

↓ On the last day of the Shinagawa Kita festival (the 5th June),
The Kids Mikoshi said thanks & goodbye to Shinagawa Shrine.
Shinagawa shrine: Kitashinagawa 3-7-15
(near Keikyu Kitashinagawa station or
15mins walk from JR Shinagawa)

Shinagawa shrine was built in 1187.
The shrine's deity is a Goddess of Sea,
as the main gate is decorated with dragons.
It is ranked as one of the top 10 ornate shrines in Tokyo.

↓ Returned the dock(!) at last.
You see the Tokugawa family's crest on Mikoshi.
(Tokugawa; Shogun and a big patron clan of the shrine in Edo times.)
Good Job!
