Okaishiki Fest. in Shinagawa dated on 16th Oct.
Okaisiki- Commemorates the death of Nichiren, a famous buddhist
monk (16 Feb. 1222 - 13 Oct. 1282).
That's him, Nichiren.
I love this lantern lighting fest.
Tenmyokoku-ji in Shinagawa organises the fest.
Where: Minami-shinagawa 2-8-3,
near Keikyu Aomonoyokocho station.
Folks parade along the Tokai road from
Kitashinagawa to Aomonoyokocho.
Must be tough.
It's a long parade, taking more than 1 hour.
At the end, all performers pray at Tenmyokoku-ji.
It is, always, a gorgeous ending. Simply Beautiful!
