Bon or O-Bon; the festival of Dead.
It is used to be cerebrated on the 15th of the 7th lunar month
until Edo period. (around 150 years ago).
People welcome the spirits of dead ancestors/ relatives
and siblings returned to their homes during the festival.
Those are candies/ food for the Dead.
Oh boy, there is no proteins.
Mostly carbs and veggies.
Pretty sad for dieters.
