Golden-week Omiyage (Souvenir) 27

I’m still doing the Golden Week Omiyage series!

Kochi

Preserved food
 Umeboshi; dried and seasoned plum.
Tsukudani; seaweed/ small fishes boiled in soy.
 Caramelized gingers/ walnuts

 Spirited plums
 
Golden week ♡ the longest vacation period of the year in Japan,
which starts from the end of April, and last around 5th of May.
People go back to their hometown or travel abroad in this period.
Oddly, Golden week never ends without Omiyage (souvenirs) here.
We exchange Omiyage with friends, siblings, colleagues,
and neighbours, piling up foods in the kitchen afterwards...
Omiyage let us know or taste popular products in each region.
