30 September, Sunday - Sun day, moon in Aries,
the 15th day of the 9th lunar month
The 30th of September, that's our Syukuba Fest day.
And alas, the typhoon joined the fest as well.
Guerrilla spotted rains, they were marching
with full-water buckets and sharp steam whistles.
with full-water buckets and sharp steam whistles.
On such a singing-in-the-rain-festival day, people in Shinagawa
smiled to us warmly. ... and sorry for a few photos!
↑ fish seller & a typical city woman in Edo period.
Syukuba means an accommodation.
Shinagawa, it's a well-known accommodation district
since the beginning of Edo period (the 17century).
Because of its history, locals are very friendly,
sensitive to others needs from different background,
knowing the act of making people happy leads a smile day.
Shukuba festival is held annually in September.
The fest includes Oiran/ Edo costume parade, a flea market,
yammy stalls, bayside cruses, and more...
Yakitori & Baked fish stalls.
↑ Called a rain?
Occasionally cloudy, all the more, the smiles shined on us.
Great Thanks♡
