Many good-looking famous European chocolatier
visit here during the Valentine's week.
Oddly Japanese Valentine's day is the day that
women give away chocolate boxes to men.
(no vice versa).
It's nice to show your love to your husband,
boyfriend, siblings, father or someone else you affect on.
The problem is male workers in Japan expect to
receive at least one chocolate box from female
coworkers/ clients on the Valentine's day. Actually,
I am so surprised to see mothers send the chocolate boxes
to male teachers who take/ took care of their kids.
As a result, many of Japanese women should open
their wallet for nothing during the Valentine's week.
That is why giving such a meaningless chocolate box
is named as Giri-choco (obligatory-gift chocolate) here!
Nowadays more Japanese women tend to buy
chocolates for themselves or female friends during the week,
ending this bad habit gradually.
